Dr Maja Schaedel (BA Hons, MSc, PGCert, DClinPsych,
Maja is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a specialism in insomnia, sleep difficulties and trauma. She currently leads the psychological therapies
department at an NHS hospital in West Sussex and provides psychological treatment for people with insomnia and sleep difficulties at the hospital's Sleep Disorders Centre, which sees people from
across the south east region and is one of the UK's leading clinical psychologists with an interest in sleep
difficulties. Maja is dedicated to understanding the difficulties which stop adults and young people from achieving good sleep. She supervises other
psychological therapists on their treatment of sleep difficulties and she continues to develop evidence-based treatment programmes. In addition to her doctoral level training Maja has further
training in CBT for Insomnia, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing for trauma. Maja is accredited by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and
the British Psychological Society (BPS) and also teaches on a Clinical Psychology doctoral programme.
